IT has now been more than three weeks since missing Ellesmere Port man Anthony Lewis was last seen.
Police are relaunching an appeal for information since the 63-year-old vanished from his Whitby home on Thursday, July 5.
A silver BMW 318 belonging to Mr Lewis was found near Snowdonia exactly one week later, but detectives have had no other clues to his disappearance.
The vehicle had also previously been spotted by a police automatic number plate recognition detector travelling into North Wales on the A55 the same day.
Cheshire Police are urging anyone with information, particularly residents in the Snowdonia and surrounding area, to come forward to help track down Mr Lewis, who is believed to still be in the area.
Mr Lewis, who lives with his mother on Woodsome Drive, is 5ft 8in tall, wears glasses, is of slim build and has grey hair. He was last seen wearing a navy-blue shirt and jeans.
He is not believed to have any money or bank cards in his possession.
Inspector Sharon Case said: "We are growing increasingly concerned for Anthony′s welfare. His lack of contact with his family is totally out of character and I would ask anyone who may have seen him to come forward and contact us.
"I would also ask Anthony himself if he is listening to this appeal to make contact with us using the 101 number or by calling in to the nearest police station."
Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident 871 of July 5, or call the Missing Persons Bureau on 116 000.
